Designed with the practical needs of fishermen in mind, this cast net allows users to quickly and efficiently capture baitfish such as shad, mullet, and shrimp directly from piers, docks, boats, or shorelines. Constructed with a weighted perimeter and a durable mesh body, the net spreads evenly upon each throw, creating a wide, effective capture radius that increases the odds of a successful haul. Its design reflects decades of experience Betts has built as a name synonymous with reliable fishing tackle and accessories.
Crafted from rugged monofilament netting, the Betts bait cast net is built to withstand repeated use in saltwater and freshwater environments alike, resisting tangling and wear even after many casts. The lead weights lining the edge of the net ensure a fast sink rate, trapping baitfish before they have the chance to escape, while the net’s radius options cater to different bait-catching needs, from close-range docks to wider open water areas. The hand or shoulder throw design makes it accessible for both seasoned baiters and newcomers looking to improve their bait-gathering technique without investing in bulky, complicated equipment.
As a staple in the boating and marine accessories category, the Betts bait cast net complements any angler’s gear setup by providing a dependable method for securing live bait on demand. Lightweight yet sturdy, it folds compactly for easy storage on boats, in tackle boxes, or in vehicle trunks, making it a convenient companion for spontaneous fishing trips.
